YETI Drops NRA Foundation
DATE: April 20, 2018
TO: USF & NRA Member and Friends
FROM: Marion P. Hammer
USF Executive Director
NRA Past President
For years YETI Coolers have been a hot item for sportsmen at the Friends of NRA Foundation Banquet and Auction events around the country.
These Foundation events raise money to support youth programs and educational programs nationwide. The youth of America who benefit from these programs are the future hunters, hikers, fishermen/women, bikers, campers, wildlife photographers, mountain climbers, sportsmen/women and conservationists who will protect our natural resources and recreational lands.
Suddenly, without prior notice, YETI has declined to do business with The NRA Foundation saying they no longer wish to be an NRA vendor, and refused to say why. They will only say they will no longer sell products to The NRA Foundation. That certainly isn’t sportsmanlike. In fact, YETI should be ashamed. They have declined to continue helping America’s young people enjoy outdoor recreational activities. These activities enable them to appreciate America and enjoy our natural resources with wholesome and healthy
outdoor recreational and educational programs.
The NRA Foundation is 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization.
In this day and age, information is power. We thought you needed this information.

Jose don’t throw it away box it up and ship it back to Joe Peters founder of yeti at the corporate office in Austin tx, I bet if we could get enough to fill several trucks they would take notice .I have been trying to call ever since I read the article seems like they are getting plenty of phone calls.

Joe Peters no longer owns YETI. They kept the corporate office in Austin to keep the impression that it’s still Texan owned. It’s owned by a private equity firm from New York. So sending them your items will simply do nothing.

Walmart is Yeti’s new retailer of choice. They now make all the Ozark Trail cups ,mugs and coolers. The no longer have to sell squat. I know they won’t get another dime from anyone I know !

Kathy, research before you purchase RTic. If I’m correct, one of the two brothers that founded Yeti, owns RTic. It’s basically the same company when they’re not bumping heads and arguing between themselves.
Tim
April 25, 2018 at 5:05 am
You’re correct that in the beginning RTIC was a spin off of YETI. Since though Yeti was acquired by Cortec, a private equity firm from New York. And even more recent YETI sued RTIC for patent infringement and theft of intellectual property and won. That is why the new RTIC looks completely different both tumblers and coolers. RTIC over engineered not over priced. Go for it I now own an RTIC soft side cooler and love it

I have always loved yeti products and what the company supported and stood for. Not one second longer. I’ll never own another yeti product. I am a woman and love to talk so just imagine how many people I will share this rather unfortunate decision yeti has made.

Yeti makes overpriced gear. It is not any better than the stuff you get elsewhere. 1,299 for a cooler? Really

No more yetis. Spread the Ten Commandments and let’s show students and people that we really care. Spread the beatitudes. Remember how everyone says no hate speech on Facebook. Words hurt or bless….Well then put the beatitudes on here. If anyone really don’t want hate then why in the world would you not put wonderful life saving words on here? ……………….,., THE EIGHT BEATITUDES OF JESUS
“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

To all NRA members and concerned outdoorsmen,
This is my letter to Yeti in response to there withdrawal as a vendor from the NRA. I would like to encourage all to contact Yeti and show your displeasure in their decision.
Posting comments doesn’t carry much weight because it won’t reach Yeti. Please take the time to voice your concerns directly to Yeti at the website below. And SHARE THIS.
Dear Yeti,
It has come to my attention that Yeti has withdrawn as vendor from the NRA. I believe I know why this has happened.
Since Yeti has chosen to follow the anti gun groups and allign with those that attempt to vilify the NRA, I hereby will from this date forward refuse to purchase yeti products. I hate that Yeti has forced my hand but I refuse to stand idily by while the NRA is dealt wrongfully. Please be advised I will use as many means as possible to exercise my 1st Amendment right to protect my 2nd Amendment right. It is my intention to notify as many gun owners and other outdoorsmen as possible to bring this to their attention.
I Am the NRA

We will no longer buy YETI products at our house, and none of us are NRA members, nor do we own guns. We are, however, Americans who believe in the constitutional rights of citizens. Bad move, YETI.
