Underground Bunkers & Why You Need One

By on October 15, 2013

So, you think you’re a survival expert that can overcome some of the most difficult situations? Truth is, you can only call yourself that if you have, know how to access or in some cases know how to build an underground bunker.

Sam at BunkerNetwork.com explains the importance of having ready access to an underground bunker:

“If you’re out in the open, you’re exposed. If you’re in a visible building, you’re still somewhat exposed. However, if you have access to an underground bunker with secure entry and exit points you chances of survival in a crisis or catastrophe increase exponentially.”

And Sam explains that the crisis could take many forms. From a disease outbreak to a solar event, food shortage and more. Viewers of the popular TV series ‘Doomsday Preppers’ will have an idea on just how many disaster scenarios people are preparing for. In such an event, you could become a victim of violence, theft and more.

In addition to using a service such as BunkerNetwork.com, you could of course build your own bunker. However, that’s costly. True survivalists should be able to find some sort of camouflaged underground hideaway. Be it a burrow you’ve dug, a cave that you’ve found or a storm drain.

Naturally, an improvised underground shelter is not as secure as a bunker but it’s better to have something as opposed to nothing. Having access to underground shelter will determine whether or not you survive when it counts.
