Review: Tyrant Hunter by Lakonian Bladecraft

By on February 12, 2015

We recently got the chance to check out and review the LBC-LF Tyrant Hunter by Lakonian BladeCraft. The Tyrant Hunter is a custom hand crafted knife offered by Lakonian BladeCraft which is a small business based in Canada. They offer a few different knives, but it seems their Tyrant Hunter is the most popular. You can check out their Facebook page to stay up to date with some of the knives they have available.

On with the review, the Tyrant Hunter is made out of CPM S35VN Steel. The overall length of is 8.5”. The cutting edge is 4”. With a thickness of .250″. The finish on the knife is carbide blast. The handle is made out of G10 material and are available in a a few different colors.

This is a great EDC knife that can be put to work. In our testing we wanted to make sure this knife could take a beating. One of our tests was to see if we could use it to chop fire wood, if we could use it to cutdown small branches. This is a tuff knife, and the grooves and the shape of the handle really allow you to get a good grip on it. You also get a nice kydex sheath to help protect your knife.

The Tyrant Hunter by Lakonian BladeCraft sells for $270. For that price you are getting a great knife, plus the customer service from the guys is top notch. Their knifes are high quality, they are built to last and they even offer a Lifetime Transferable Warranty. Lakonian states on their website “We stand behind our tools. If your knife fails for whatever reason, we’ll repair it, or send you a new knife of equal value”. If you are looking for your next custom knife, or that great Zombie Apocalypse companion the Tyrant Hunter is a must check out.

You can find Lakonian BladeCraft here at their website lakonianblade.com they are also active on Facebook.
