Review: Pocket Boy 170 by Sherrill Tree

By on October 28, 2013

I received a Pocket Boy 170 from Sherrill Tree for review. Some of the technical specs before I get into my thoughts about the saw are. The saw has a 6-3/4-inch blade length. The teeth configuration is 7 teeth per inch. It was around .45 pounds in operating weight. With carrying case it ways around .6 pounds. Clear plastic flip-lock carrying case with belt clip is included. Product applications include pruning & trimming, lawn & garden, hunting & outdoors.

Now for my review on this saw, first off I can say that it comes razor sharp right out of the case. It is a really lightweight saw and feels great in in the holding position. Has a nice comfortable rubber grip. The saw cuts really fast, and if your looking to get some medium to light pruning work done this would be perfect. It takes minimal to any effort to cut and it is very smooth. I would recommended this to any gardener or the average homeowner who would like to make trims as I feel it would be a reliable saw and will last a while.

The saw is available from Sherrill Tree  and is only 37.95
