Review: Kayak King Spin Pole and D.C.M Reel by Emmrod

After some time of getting to use the rod and reel here is my review of the Kayak King Spin Pole and the D.C.M Spin Reel from Emmrod. I have included some specs on the rod and my thoughts are below.

Kayak King

• TPE Hybrid anti-slip handle material.
• Spin reel seat.
• Full length handle
• Emmrod patented 1/4 turn locking system.
• Assembled in America.
• New TPE butt cap with lanyard ring.
• Impact resistant nose.
• Accepts all Emmrod stainless steal rod ends.
• Breaks down to just 13″.
• Excellent for open faced spin reels.
• Pack weight of just over 8 oz including rod end.

   

D.C.M Reel

This is an excellent open faced spin reel with three ball bearings and rugged construction.  You will not be disappointed with this reel.

My Thoughts

Together this is a great combo, I feel that the pole is very sensitive. You can feel every bite even from small pan fish we were catching. This pole breaks down to 13” you can take this anywhere just throw it in your day pack and you’re set. It is very easy to assemble there is 2 pieces the metal pole and the handle. They connect together using Emmrods patented locking system. With this rod only weighing 8oz you barley know its there. Emmrods custom D.C.M reel is a great add-on for this pole. The reel was very smooth and is built with quality in mind. For just $125.00 dollars you can pick up the rod and reel from Emmrod.
