Review: Hardcore Defense Alpha Shield™

We recently got the chance to work with the guys over at Hardcore Defense on a review of their Alpha Shield.
Hardcore Defense provides civilians and law enforcement the toughest ballistic shields available on the market. Hardcore Defense believes in metal. Hence, “hard” core. The use of metals for the ballistic panels in their shields allows them to offer products with unrivaled multi-hit and edge-hit capabilities, minimal backface signature, and without the storage, shelf life, and drop concerns of other materials.
The Alpha Shield™ is made from a single layer of ballistic steel. Against NIJ IIIA (handgun) threat rounds, the more expensive materials evaluated were no more weight efficient than the best top-quality steel.
Our test dummy “Krazy Kyle” was hoping all would go as planned and the during our evaluation of the Alpha Shield, we tested multiple calibers. We worked our way up testing 22LR, 9MM, 357 Magnum and 45 ACP. Below you will find photos of each of our tests as you can see Kyle made it out alive and was unharmed thanks to the Alpha Shield.

The shield survived all tests. The Hardcore Defense Alpha Shield is a great piece of gear. You have to check them out. The Alpha Shield will come in handy during the Zombie Apocalypse.
Specifications:

- Proprietary military-grade ballistic steel provides unrivaled edge hit and multi-hit performance.
