Review: AmmoValley – An Up Close Look

We recently had the chance to work with AmmoValley to review/check out some of their very affordable ammunition. AmmoValley offers ammo in some of the most popular calibers at closeout prices. All of their ammunition is made right here in the USA.
We have four different types of ammunition to cover in this article. They are 9mm 115gr RN Reman, 9mm 115gr HP Reman, 45 ACP 230gr RN Reman and 223 Rem 55gr FMJ Reman.
9mm 115gr RN Remanufactured
Our first bullet we are going to cover is their 9mm 115gr RN Remanufactured. We first took a look at the round its self. And there are no noticeable dings, dents, and scratches, etc. Overall looks very good. The brass was very clean on the outside. When we pulled the projectile to see on the inside, we did notice that the inside wasn’t as clean as the outside.
We went ahead and weighted both the power and projectile. On the bullet, we pulled we had 4.4 grains of powder. And the projectile weighted in at 115.6 grains.
Taking an up and close look at the powder, we can see it appears to be pretty standard pistol powder. Very small disc shape pieces. Everything looks clean; I don’t see any debris or dirt.
We also measured with a set of calipers both the casing and bullet and the casing measured at 19MM and the projectile measured in at 14.48MM.
If we take a closer look at the projectile, we can see that it is also clean. No dents, dings or scratches.
Overall excellent ammunition. AmmoValley sells this 9MM in bags of 250 rounds and is currently $42.50. That is only .17 cents a round. Perfect target ammunition.
9mm 115gr HP Remanufactured
We also got a chance to look at the same round but with their 115gr HP. As you can see with the up and close shots pretty much, everything stayed the same except for the measurements and the amount of powder that we weighted.
The casing measured in at 19.05MM and the projectile measured 12.9MM. When we weighted the powder, we got 4grns inside this bullet. And the HP projectile weighted in at 115.6 grains.
The powder was the same, also was free of debris and dirt.
Currently, AmmoValley sells their 9mm 115gr HP in bags of 100 or 250 rounds. The 250 round bags run $48.00, which comes out to .19 cents a round.
45 ACP 230gr RN Remanufactured
Next up in the review is the 45 ACP 230gr RN Reman. When we pulled the bullet on this round, I was surprised. Unlike the other two 9mm rounds we pulled, the inside of the 45ACP case was spotless. Overall was very clean. The casing looked practically brand new.
The projectile and casing were free of dings, dents, and scratches.
The projectile measured in at 16.46MM and the casing measured 22.65MM. We also weighted the powder. We had 5.8 grains of powder. And the bullet weighted 230 grains.
Taking a look at the 45ACP powder, it is also immaculate. No debris or dirt was found. Out of the four rounds, we looked at this one looked the best.
If we take a closer look at the projectile, we can see that it is also clean. No dents, dings or scratches. The projectile looks good all around.
Overall perfect ammunition. They sell this 45ACP in bags of 250 rounds. And is currently $58.50. That is only .234 cents a round. Excellent and affordable target ammunition.
223 Rem 55gr FMJ Remanufactured.
Up last for this review is AmmoValley’s 223 Rem 55gr FMJ Reman. Overall these 223 rounds look very nice. The inside followed the same as the two 9mm rounds. Which wasn’t spotless like the 45ACP round. However, the outside and projectile look great.
We went ahead and weighted both the powder and projectile. On the bullet, we pulled we had 25 grains of powder. And the projectile weighted in at 55.8 grains.
Taking an up and close look at the powder, everything looks clean; I don’t see any debris or dirt.
We also measured with a set of calipers both the casing and bullet and the casing measured at 44.2MM and the projectile measured in at 19MM.
If we take a closer look at the projectile, we can see that it is also clean. No dents, dings or scratches.
AmmoValley sells this ammo in bags of 250 rounds and costs $67.50. That rounds about .27 cents a round.
AmmoValley Overall
Overall, I am a fan of AmmoValley. I think that they offer some great ammunition at very affordable prices. Their rounds look great; everything was clean. We didn’t have any troubles when firing any of the ammo we received from AmmoValley. Everything went bang the first time. The ammo is very clean to shoot. Didn’t have any reliability issues. AmmoValley is defiantly worth taking a look at. Shipping was speedy, and they have some excellent customer service. They are more than happy to answer any questions you might have. They are a must check out. You can find all their information below.
